It’s official; Spring has sprung! The change of seasons sparks many to take on the annual Spring clean, clearing the clutter to signify renewal and revitalize their abode. However, closet space is somewhat of a commodity in Vancouver, whose dwellers are used to limited square footage for maximum prices.Minimizing “stuff” is key to creating a zenful home, but that doesn’t mean you have to bid adieu to your beloved items. So the Alluster Storage Butlers are sharing a few ways to maximize storage so you can easily start the season refreshed and organized.

1. Group related items.

In other words, if you have candles, pens, or even take-out menus, fasten them together with either an elastic band, resealable bag, or even a paper clip. This will help reduce the amount of loose items, while also making them easier to find in the future.

2. Look up.

The height of you walls and ceilings house a ton of unused space. Add a tall bookshelf, hang vertical organizers, and add hooks to hang your hats. Just have a step ladder nearby!

3. Get rid of it already.

Okay, so we know we said you didn’t have to throw anything away, but there are some exceptions. If it’s broken or no longer works, it’s time to toss it. But before it kicks the can, check to see if it’s recyclable first. This way you avoid adding more to the landfill, reducing your eco footprint.

4. Call the Alluster Storage Butlers.

Your snowboard, Uggs, and parkas take up a lot of important closet real estate. So instead of trying to manage it all in your small space, the Butlers will be happy to pick up, store, and redeliver items whenever you need. Heading to Antarctica in July? No problem, we can have them to your home in less than 24 hours.
